Should children be taught sex education in school?
Sex education or sometimes we called sex and relationship education is education about human sexual reproduction or process of acquiring information and forming attitudes and belief about sex, sexual identity, relationships and intimacy. People can get sex education from any way, but the good one is from school. So, I agree that children should get sex education in school. They should have sex education from young.
Firstly, children should get sex education in school because many parents don't have enough time to teach their child. Many people say the best place for children to learn about sex education is parents. But, now many parents are busy with their work and their activities, and they don't have much time to talk with their children. Even just say hello, so how they can teach their child about sex. It is so difficult if child only get sex education only from parents. In other way most of parents feel embarrassed talk about sex. Not only the parents, their child also feel embarrassed when they talking about sex with their parents.
Secondly, children also get chance to get wrong information if they don't get sex education in school. Now, many children interested with sex, and they try to get information as much as possible from any way. Like from their friends, it's so bad if they ask their friends that don't really know about sex education, but keep tell wrong information about sex to them. They also will try to searching at internet. Anyone can post information at internet and sometime the information that they post is not really correct, because no one check it. It’s to dangerous if the children keep doing this. They can misunderstand about sex and they become a bad person if they get the wrong sex education, because they think what is wrong is right. The information that they get is right.
Thirdly, they will know part of body and how to handle. Some children will be shocked to discover that their bodies change because they getting mature and they do not know how to handle it. Like girl with increasing age, the shape of their breast will be different. Some girl will get shocked because they don't know it will happen with them and they also don't know what they should do. Some girls also feel shy when their breasts become bigger than before.
Fourthly, when they get sex education at school they will know about sexual harassment. It is really important to know what include sexual harassment, especially for girl. Because some girls got molested, they don't know that is one of sexual harassment because they think that is unintentionally touching.
Lastly, sex education in school also can prevent unwanted pregnancy and abortion. When they learn about sex education at school, they will know what the effect of free sex, and they will think twice to do it. Because they know when they do free sex, they get chance to pregnant, even they use condom. Sometimes condoms can leak and it led to pregnancy. When the youngsters get unwanted pregnancy they will think to abortion. Abortion is illegal. And the baby in stomach will die when they do that. It's mean they are criminal.
The conclusion why school must provide sex education to children is they have to know about sex education, how they can use and handle their part of bodies, and they have to learn about sexual harassment. And the other reason that school provide sex education is to help their parents teach their children, because some parents busy for working or their activities, and don't have time to teach their children about sex education.
